I have had the pleasure of working with Zeba at Home Care Assistance Edmonton (HCAEdm) and I wish I met them 3 agencies ago. They are the most professional of the agencies I have used in Edmonton, and yet fairly priced.

When I moved my senior father to Alberta from outside of the province, I was immediately overwhelmed by how high his needs were, on top of everything I needed to do to get him settled in this province. Luckily, this company was recommended by a friend of mine and when I contacted Home Care Assistance, they jumped into action to provide a full range of services to ensure my father was not only safe, but comfortable. The management and caregivers are patient, kind, thoughtful, thorough and consistently act with my father’s well being at heart.They have been very open to feedback and taken all our concerns seriously, which has provided immense relief to my family as we strive for the best day-to-day situation for my father.
We have employed this company now for more than half a year and I cannot stress how grateful my family are for them. From accompanying us to physician appointments to handling difficult situations with tact and care to accommodating sudden schedule and service changes, the caregivers and management team have gone above and beyond to support us.
— MIn terms of professionalism and communication, they are probably at the highest levels you will find in Edmonton. They are very thorough and have first-rate people. They listen to you and work to satisfy your requirements. However, Zeba has often gone above and beyond a few times, and at a level she did not have to and very pleasantly surprised me.
When you hire these agencies you are putting your parents’ happiness in their hands. This is very serious and you have little room for error. I have been to hell and back with other agencies in Edmonton who were simply concerned with money, not with offering to help me achieve my goals of care. With one agency the caregiver would come over and sleep on the sofa as she stated she was already tired from working too much. With another, 4 of the staff did not want to do the work as they stated the agency did not pay them enough…this is a small part of it from 4 years of daily service.
I can appreciate HCA because I have dealt with three others and know what ‘regular’ service is and now experience what I would consider ‘outstanding’ service. Frankly speaking, there is not much else for them to do that they aren’t doing, they are truly leaders of the pack. If you have any doubts, hire another firm…you’ll be back 🙂

I live in a 2 story condo and knew that I would not be able to navigate my stairs and needed help for the initial recovery phase. I interviewed several care home providers and finally settled on Home Care Assistance. My choice was mainly based on my meeting with Zareena who is the Director of Operations.
Zareena’s caretakers came in every day from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm. They provided my meals, helped me with bathing and dressing, took me to doctor’s appointments, did some light cleaning and shopping. I was totally satisfied with the level of care they provided. Perhaps what was most impressive was the personal touch provided by Zareena and Zuzan. Since I was a “temporary” client, I know that many times they had to scramble to provide me with caretakers who may otherwise have more permanent clients. They did this in an admirable fashion and I was never left wanting. Zareena or Zuzan followed up with phone calls to me almost on a daily basis. I used their service for about 3 weeks and would strongly recommend their service to anyone.
The owner of Home Care Assistance Edmonton is a caring individual for both caregivers and her clients. While juggling caregivers timetables with the issues that the elderly and sickly have with their health issues, Zareena has the patience that is truly incredible. Watching her with the daily issues that continue throughout the day, I am in awe of the patience of this lady. I highly recommend Home Care Assistance for all of your parents needs because they have great caregivers ready to meet all of your parents or patients needs.

As an HCA we were taught the exclusive Balanced Care Method, focusing on nutrition, physical activities, social engagement and positive lifestyle.
I am fortunate to use the Cognitive Therapeutic Method with my client. There is a success every day.
